Job Description

Role Description



This is a full-time on-site role for a Foundry Maintenance Engineer on service in the West Zone India region (predominantly Gujarat, Rajasthan, and surrounding areas). As an Sales Engineer you will be responsible for managing sales activities, developing and maintaining relationships with clients, and promoting our turnkey projects and Foundry Automation solutions. This role requires extensive travel within the Eastern India region, and your base location will be in the Kolkata metropolitan area.

Job Responsibilities



Machine Erection & Commissioning



Participate in the erection of new machines and production lines (mechanical, electrical, and alignment work). Read engineering drawings, foundation layouts, and manufacturer guidelines. Supervise contractor teams during equipment unloading, rigging, anchoring, and levelling. Connect utilities (power, compressed air, water) and assist OEM technicians during commissioning. Conduct dry and live trials; ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.

Team Coordination & Supervision



Guide technicians and contract workers during repairs, installations, and safety drills. Liaise with OEMs, vendors, and plant engineers for support and upgrades.

Foundry Equipment Handling



Maintain and troubleshoot: Moulding machines Shot blasting machines and pneumatic tools
Attend and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on foundry equipment (e.g., induction furnaces, shell moulders, sand mixers, knockout machines).

Prioritise quick and safe restoration to reduce production downtime.

Qualifications & Experience:



Diploma/Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering. 4-8 years of experience in maintenance within a foundry or heavy manufacturing industry. Knowledge of CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) preferred.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIS)



Number of new leads generated. Sales conversion rate. Monthly and quarterly sales targets achieved. Client retention rate. Timeliness and quality of daily status reports.
