: Field Executive – Tripura Background: EdIndia Foundation (www.edindia.org) is a not-for-profit organization focused on leveraging technology and data analytics to create innovative solutions to impact education at scale. EdIndia believes that Technology has a huge potential to impact government schools at scale. EdIndia Foundation is the strategic CSR arm of Sterlite Power and is a member of the Global Collective for SEL and Digital Learning set up by UNESCO. EdIndia is reaching out to its clientele – teachers in particular and the school education system in general – through its programs Pragyan, Nirnay, and Teachable. A lot of EdIndia’s work is focused on Tripura. it is piloting Nirnay as well as an innovative school- community project in 10 tribal villages in the state. It is also planning to initiate programs in Pre-Service Teacher Education in the state. To co-ordinate with the State Head and develop new partnership opportunities in the region, EdIndia is seeking to recruit a Field Executive – Tripura. Key Responsibilities:

• The Field Executive, reporting to State Head will manage the capacity building of teachers from

allocated government schools. S/he will manage the delivery of project results and mentor the teachers through regular school visits and academic support in English, Math, and Science.

• S/he will work closely with district and block officials of the Department of Education, Govt. Of

Tripura.

• S/he will be taking regular data from school visits for the measurement of project outputs and

intermediate outcomes.

• Other key responsibilities shall include but are not limited to; Community Engagement,

Stakeholder Management, Coordination, and Vendor liaison.
Desired Competencies:

• Communicating Information Effectively: Communicates in writing and speaking clearly and

persuasively, in English and Bengali/Kokborok. *It is mandatory that the candidate is well-versed in Bengali.

• Has extensive exposure to schools/education system.

• S/he is comfortable with 15 - 20 days of school visits per month.

• Achieving Quality Results: Sets priorities, develops a work schedule, monitors progress toward goals,

and tracks details/data/information/activities.

• Has resided in the past or is currently residing in North East India.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience closely working in the education system.

• Exposure and experience of working in Math and/or English subjects (class 6 to 8).

• Exposure to leveraging technology in educational interventions. Hands-on computer skills, including

MS Office.

• Masters in the relevant field of Management/Social Development/Education/Math/English and

experience in working with Government schools are preferred.
