Sample pick up from various places. Follow sample transportation rules. Marketing of Polo laboratory. Any technical work assigned by department Head. Get familiarized with LQS documentation. Documentation should be done regularly as per SOPs. Participate in all training programs organized by Lab Management. Any other work assigned by the SIC from time to time. Adhere to laboratory's disciplinary regulations. Ensure proper Housekeeping. Follow safety guidelines while working in the dept. Verifies patient by comparing name and lab. ID number on requisition Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures. Consistently draws blood properly using established laboratory procedures (i.e. proper patient identification, proper tube selection, etc.); rarely fails to obtain a blood sample on the first attempt. Verify and collect proper samples required for specific tests along with history. Keeps the Phlebotomy areas neat, clean, and well stocked with supplies. Greets patients in a courteous manner, responds to patients with empathy and positive interpersonal skills. Always wears lab coat (or approved apron / gown/gloves) and name tag. Manage proper stock of vials, needles, containers etc. Take feedback from patients.
