We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collection Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of financial services to effectively negotiate payment arrangements.

Duties

Contact clients via phone and email to collect overdue payments while maintaining professionalism and courtesy. Record all interactions and updates in the database accurately, ensuring data integrity through diligent data entry practices. Analyse accounts payable to identify trends in late payments and develop strategies for improvement. Collaborate with the financial team to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate account management. Utilise accounting software to track payments, generate reports, and monitor outstanding balances. Conduct telemarketing efforts to follow up with clients regarding their payment status and promote available payment options. Maintain a high level of phone etiquette during all communications to foster positive client relationships.

Skills

Proficiency in accounts payable processes and financial services is essential. Strong data entry skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in record keeping. Experience in telemarketing or customer service roles is advantageous. Excellent analytical skills to assess account statuses and develop effective collection strategies. Familiarity with accounting software to manage financial records efficiently. Exceptional phone etiquette, demonstrating professionalism and empathy during client interactions.
