Key Responsibilities
Conduct On-Site Audits
: Perform field inspections at farms and client premises to evaluate adherence to specific agricultural standards
Documentation and Reporting
: Review and verify records related to farming practices, inputs (pesticides, fertilizers), harvesting, and post-harvest management. Prepare comprehensive audit reports highlighting findings and recommendations periodically.
Compliance Management
: Ensure all operations comply with relevant local, national (e.g., APEDA organic standards), and international agricultural laws and regulations.
Team Leadership & Training
: Lead audit teams, train field staff, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants and regulatory authorities.
Risk Management
: Identify potential process gaps and risks within the agricultural supply chain and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
Travel
: The role often requires significant travel to various field locations/farms across Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
Lead internal audits for sowing verification, field compliance, and farmer activities.
Train farmers and field staff on quality standards, crop management, and good agricultural practices.
Monitor pest & disease management and provide timely technical recommendations.
Conduct store stock audits for seeds, fertilizers, and chemicals.
Identify field deviations and report corrective actions to management.
Analyze Red Farmer crop performance and prepare improvement reports.
Ensure compliance with Gherkin quality standards, food safety norms, and traceability documentation.
Prepare audit reports and coordinate with production, quality, and field teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience & Skills
Education:
A bachelor's or master's degree in agriculture, Horticulture,.
Experience
: Minimum of 3-8 years of relevant audit or field experience in the agriculture/manufacturing sector, depending on the seniority of the role.
Certifications:
Lead Auditor certifications in ISO 22000 / BRC / FSSC / HACCP strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of agricultural practices, organic farming, and quality control.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Familiarity with relevant software/ERP systems
