DESCRIPTION:
At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll join a dedicated team providing world-class scientific expertise and support to customers. As a Field Applications Scientist, you'll serve as a trusted technical advisor helping customers optimize their use of our advanced technologies across multiple scientific domains. In this role, you'll deliver exceptional pre-sales and post-sales support through product demonstrations, hands-on training, troubleshooting assistance, and technical consultation. Working closely with sales teams and cross-functional partners, you'll help customers achieve significant discoveries while building long-term relationships that drive business success. REQUIREMENTS & Responsibilities:
Determine customer needs and provide flawless technical support and guidance in field applications on.
1. REAL TIME PCR ( THERMOFISHER PLATFORMs )
2. CONSUMABLES FOR REAL TIME PCR ( knowledge of TaqMan Assays essential)
3.CAPILLARY ELECTROPHORESIS ( Either Experience / good understanding on any of the
ThermoFisher platforms and CE data analysis)
4. SAMPLE PREPARATION (KINGFISHER extraction systems/ Consumables knowledge).
5: NGS and Microarray experience would be an additional advantage and given high preference.

• PhD or M.SC with relevant prior experience (2-3 years) hands-on laboratory experience with relevant instrumentation and applications
• Preferred Fields of Study: Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology
• Additional relevant certifications a plus
• Demonstrated expertise in field application support, customer training, and technical troubleshooting
• Strong presentation and communication skills for delivering technical content to diverse audiences
• Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions
• Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence for understanding customer needs
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant scientific software
• Fluency in English required; additional language skills beneficial
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently (50-75% of time)
• Experience with data analysis, experimental design, and method development
• Deep technical knowledge of specific product portfolio and applications
• Understanding of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous learning
