Job Description

1. Installation and Deployment

? Install, splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables.
? Conduct site surveys to determine the optimal placement of fiber optic infrastructure.
? Set up and configure fiber optic equipment, including routers, switches, and related hardware.
? Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols during installation.

2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting

? Perform routine maintenance on fiber optic networks to ensure optimal performance.
? Diagnose and repair fiber optic faults, including cuts, bends, and other forms of damage. ? Use testing equipment such as OTDRs, power meters, and light sources to identify and resolve network issues.
? Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities.

3. Documentation and Reporting

? Maintain accurate records of all installation and maintenance activities.
? Prepare detailed reports on network performance, faults, and repairs.
? Update network diagrams and documentation to reflect changes and upgrades.

4. Customer Support

? Provide technical support and guidance to customers experiencing issues with their fiber optic connections.
? Work closely with the customer service team to resolve network-related issues promptly and efficiently.
? Conduct customer site visits when necessary to address and resolve technical problems.

5. Team Collaboration and Development

? Collaborate with network engineers, planners, and other technical staff to ensure seamless integration and operation of fiber optic networks.
? Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
? Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
