Radiographers are healthcare professionals who perform diagnostic imaging procedures to help diagnose and treat medical conditions, utilizing various imaging technologies such as Mammography X-rays.

Key Responsibilities

Perform Diagnostic Imaging

: Radiographers operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality images of patients' internal structures. This includes using X-rays, Mammography and ultrasounds to assist in diagnosing illnesses and injuries.

Patient Interaction

: They prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process to ensure comfort and safety. Radiographers also provide psychological support and reassurance to patients during procedures.

Quality Control

: Radiographers are responsible for ensuring the quality of the images produced. They review captured images for clarity and diagnostic value, retaking images if necessary.

Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals

: They work closely with radiologists and other healthcare providers to interpret imaging results and develop treatment plans. This collaboration is essential for effective patient care.

Safety Compliance

: Radiographers must adhere to safety regulations and protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff. They ensure compliance with established safety standards when operating imaging equipment.
