The OPD Nurse / Female Nursing Assistant will support outpatient services by assisting doctors, preparing patients, managing basic clinical tasks, and ensuring smooth patient flow in the OPD. This role requires strong patient-handling skills and a caring, professional attitude.
Key Responsibilities1. Patient Assistance
Greet and guide patients in the OPD.
Prepare patients for consultations and minor procedures.
Assist patients with basic needs such as wheelchair movement or vital checks.
2. Clinical Support
Record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, SpO?).
Prepare examination rooms with required instruments and supplies.
Assist doctors during examinations and minor OPD procedures.
Perform simple dressings, injections, and sample collection (if trained).
3. OPD Flow Management
Coordinate patient movement between registration, consultation, and diagnostics.
Ensure smooth functioning of daily OPD activities.
Maintain patient queue discipline and appointment flow.
4. Documentation & Records
Maintain patient files, clinical notes, and procedure records.
Update OPD logs, consumables usage, and daily reports.
Assist in maintaining electronic or manual medical records.
5. Inventory & Equipment Care
Maintain stock of disposables, dressing materials, and OPD consumables.
Ensure all equipment is clean, in working condition, and sterilized as needed.
6. Infection Control & Cleanliness
Follow hospital infection control and hygiene protocols.
Properly segregate biomedical waste (BMW).
Maintain a clean OPD environment at all times.
7. Patient Communication
Provide clear instructions to patients regarding procedures, follow-ups, or medication (as guided by the doctor).
Interact politely and compassionately with patients and caregivers.
Qualifications
Diploma in Nursing / ANM / Nursing Assistant Course
Basic clinical knowledge and willingness to learn
0-2 years of experience (freshers can be trained)
Skills Required
Good patient-handling and communication skills
Basic nursing and first-aid skills
Ability to follow instructions accurately

Shift Requirements
OPD working hours (customizable based on your hospital timing)
Weekend/rotational duties as required
