Follow a printed medicine chart with timing and doses.
Keep a 7-day pill organizer filled each Sunday under your or the nurse's supervision.
Maintain a daily log sheet (time given, skipped dose, sugar level, BP).
Daily inspection for redness or wounds.
Keep foot clean and moisturized.
Immediate reporting of any new discoloration or swelling.
Monitoring:
Blood sugar (fasting & postprandial) at least 3x per week.
BP daily.
Record mood, appetite, and sleep pattern (for psychiatrist review).
Mobility & diet:
Assist in walking with support; ensure safe footwear.
Serve balanced diabetic meals; avoid sweets or refined carbs.
Skills & Qualities to Look For
Experience: Minimum 4-8 years caring for diabetic or elderly patient
Language:
Comfortable in Tamil and basic English.
Training:
Knows basic first aid, insulin injection, and glucose monitoring.
Can recognize hypoglycemia symptoms.
Understands medication schedules (morning/evening).
Required Documentation:
Should have a valid ID, background verification from agency.
