Job Description

Role: Team Leader- FEMA Job Purpose To strategize and develop initiatives to grow and expand the "FEMA" vertical and sustain operational excellence and to be responsible for the overall management of the vertical with sustained growth, profitability and consistent achievement of targets Job Dimension Business Development Interact with the referral clients for requirement gathering, negotiating, preparing the engagement letter and closing the deal Work towards creating a newsletter to be sent to the clients periodically containing information about recent amendments to the Act etc. Ensure that the data related to the FEMA FAQ Website or the periodic newsletter is being shared with clients Project Planning and Management Conduct Due Diligence checks on the entire transactions of the client including checks on permissible business ventures allowed as per the Act and suggest alternatives to clients for conducting operations in India Prepare a project plan for each assignment along with the team (and Partner if required) and create work allocations, defined timelines to ensure on-time delivery Manage, oversee and guide the team towards on-time closures of assignments thus preventing compounding or closures/ seizing of accounts by RBI Prepare drafts (Compounding Applications etc.) when required and review the team\'s work (drafts etc.) for ensuring accuracy, completeness and quality Work with the team to track and minimize bottlenecks in the delivery if any Visit clients as per the periodicity defined in their respective contracts and address queries as and when required Work towards continues improvement in the satisfaction level of clients and maintain good relations with the referral partners / clients Handle escalations if any and interact with clients to push for sharing of data in cases of delay Liaise with the other functional TLs and Sub TLs for cross-functional assignments if any Identify areas of improvements in processes and work towards redefining processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness Stakeholder Management Interact with the RBI FEMA teams and other authorities (Ministries etc.) for document submissions (Findings/ Reporting\'s etc.), pending cases and to address issues or unresolved queries if any Coordinate with the AD Banks to conduct research on the client\'s transactions as well as for submissions of compliances and resolution of queries Interact with the Empaneled Consultants overseas to understand laws and regulations of the respective countries with respect to Forex Handle adhoc queries related to Forex/ FEMA from clients working with other verticals Billing and Recovery Ensure billing/ invoicing and recovery follow ups are conducted by the team as per the defined timelines Co-ordinate with the client for outstanding recoveries Knowledge Management Contribute to Knowledge Management by timely sharing of best practices, project learnings and updates for website, software\'s etc. to the R&D Team Ensure that the knowledge Bank, judgements, case laws, FAQ on FEMA are duly updated Encourage Team Members to use the knowledge bank and provide inputs on practical deployment of legislations and regulations Conduct knowledge sharing sessions on a weekly basis (and ad hoc if required) for the team to share information about recent amendments and to address queries if any Participate in and ensure and track the participation of the team in the daily posers, knowledge sharing and engagement activities organized by company Team Management and Development Be actively involved in hiring as well as in maintaining the morale, performance and engagement levels within the team Identify the training and developmental needs and share the inputs with the Services Team and HR Ensure the learning curve of the team keeps growing by conducting tests periodically on the areas related to respective client assignments Reviews and Reporting Proactively participate in weekly meetings with the Partners and Sub- TLs to discuss learnings of the week and flag issues/ concerns if any Conduct daily/weekly meetings with the team to plan for the work deliverables and to review the actionable (recoverable/ invoicing, escalations etc.) Ensure prompt reporting to the Partners on the recovery, Billing and other status reports as may be specified for the day Interact and share with the MIS Team any information (Proposals, non- compliances, ODI and FDI details etc.) required to be maintained in the repository as per the defined periodicity Attend the fortnightly and monthly reviews with the Partners and team to ascertain the progress on each assignment Job Type: Full-time Salary: 935,000.00 - 970,000.00 per month Schedule:
