About the role: The candidate should have a significant and appropriate experience in the field of design, specifically plastic design, structural, linear and nonlinear analysis including vibration analysis to Carrier Engineering activities. This position requires a clear competency in plastics and fan design along with stress, fatigue analysis, modal analysis, harmonic analysis and random vibration analysis. Responsibilities: Good Experience in Concept creation, Modeling, handling assemblies and Drawing creation of Plastic, Casting, Sheet metal parts and good knowledge in manufacturing processes. Providing expertise in structural analysis, vibration (modal, harmonic and random vibration) and fatigue analysis for all the designed components. Initiating and running as simulation project lead and co-Investigator of one or more major projects (or a few minor projects) to meet internal and external customer\'s timescales and to complete the work within the budgeted allowance. The candidate will be expected to perform FEA structural analysis using MSC/ANSYS where the entire process must be covered, i.e., from data/information acquisition, CAD data pre-processing, model build, to the analysis and final presentation. Familiarity with nCode design life fatigue analysis will be a plus. Hands-on experience in understanding the design & assembly and carefully generate Engineering Bills of Materials (BOM) is a plus. Ability to lead his/her assigned project activities independently without much of supervision towards project milestones. Experience in Material change and cost reduction projects. Education / Certifications: MS or M Tech degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Aerospace / Engineering Science) from a recognized university with 5-8 years of experience. Hands-on experience in CAD tools such as Creo (Pro-E) / Solidworks. Strong background in dynamic analysis including vibration, fatigue and Numerical Methods Experience with 2D/3D FEA simulation (5-8 years) Understanding of HVAC, heat-exchanger and climate control systems High communication and interpersonal skills Highly driven, self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision Computer Skills CAD -CREO/Solidworks for design Ansys, MSC Nastran/Patran Carrier is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
