Your role
We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Data Quality Specialist to manage the Group Finance Data Issues in compliance with group-wide policies and methodologies

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Data Quality Specialist to:

• manage and supervise the Data Quality team with respect to the day-to-day tasks arising from Data Issues being raised by Group Finance
• apply Data Management Framework rules and principles to ensure the process and data used in Group Finance is of good quality and appropriately controlled
• liaise with reporters of Data Issues to record the defect, impact, and severity of these issues in line with GDMO guidelines
• analyse the Data Issues with respect to the root cause and which team/project can assist to remediate the same
• help reporters resolve issues in a timely manner
• be the point of contact for data consumers to receive updates on the Data Issues, and engage with Data Stewards and other stakeholders for effective and efficient resolution
• prepare and deliver status updates and presentations to senior management and key stakeholders
• develop and maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the corresponding data sources, data models and data systems that support Group Finance data governance objectives
• advocate cultural change for data management within Group Finance and ensure that new processes are systematically designed in compliance with data management standards and principles
• manage business priorities while driving process improvements through simplification and automation of the Data governance and issue management tooling suite

Your team
You\xe2\x80\x99ll be working in the FDMO \xe2\x80\x93 Data Quality Team. We support both the Finance Data Sponsor and the broader Finance organization in the design and implementation of our Data Management strategy. As a Finance Data Quality Specialist, you\xe2\x80\x99ll play an important role in turning Finance data into an asset for the organization
Your expertise

• CA/MBA or equivalent qualification with respect to Data Analyst / Scientist, with greater than 8-10 years of work experience
• ideally 3-5 years of previous experience in a similar role focusing on data quality / governance
• knowledge of Banking finance systems and an awareness of front-to-back data flows and data transformation processes that support end user reporting
• excellent communication skills that allow you to engage with a wide variety of teams and functions to both extract information and drive cross-functional engagement
• good presentation and communication skills
• able to successfully manage multiple priorities with deliverables completed on time and to a high standard
• able to understand and apply new technologies and concepts quickly
• well organized with strong follow-through capabilities
• results orientated, concise and methodical, effective as a team worker with strong attention to detail and quality
• passionate about driving process improvement and simplification without degrading output quality
• able to motivate the team
