To provide excellent customer service in the hotel's dining areas by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The F&B Waiter/Steward plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming and hospitable environment in the restaurant, banquet halls, room service, or cafe outlets.
Key Responsibilities
:
Guest Service & Dining Experience
Greet guests politely and assist them with seating.
Present menus, explain daily specials or promotions, and answer any food-related questions.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them promptly to the kitchen/bar.
Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner.
Check in with guests during meals to ensure satisfaction and respond to additional requests.
Clear tables and reset them for the next guests quickly and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, service stations, and side stations.
Order Management & Billing
Ensure that all items ordered are accurately billed.
Present checks to guests and handle cash or card payments as per billing procedures.
Coordinate with the cashier and kitchen staff for smooth operations.
Setup & Preparation Duties
Prepare the dining area before each shift: arrange tables, linens, cutlery, glasses, and condiments.
Assist with buffet setup, banquet arrangements, and event preparations as needed.
Refill water glasses and replenish supplies throughout service.
Teamwork & Hygiene
Work closely with kitchen and bar staff for timely order delivery.
Ensure personal hygiene and grooming standards are maintained.
Follow hotel and food safety guidelines at all times.
Comply with hygiene, cleanliness, and sanitization protocols in food handling and service areas.
Qualifications & Skills Required
Minimum qualification: 10th or 12th pass/ Diploma In Hotel
Diploma or Certificate in Hotel Management or F&B Service (preferred but not mandatory).
0-5 years
of experience in a restaurant, cafe, hotel, or banquet service.
Basic knowledge of food and beverage items and service etiquette.
Good communication skills in English and Tamil (additional languages a plus).
Pleasant personality, customer-oriented attitude.
Physically fit to work in standing/walking roles for long hours.
Willingness to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
