Job Description

Hostess is the first point of contact for guests in the restaurant. She ensures a warm welcome, smooth seating arrangements, and excellent guest service throughout their dining experience. The role requires strong communication, interpersonal skills, and a professional appearance to represent the hospitality standards of the establishment.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables. Manage reservations and walk-in guests effectively to maximize table turnover and guest satisfaction. Present menus, introduce specials, and assist with initial guest inquiries. Coordinate with waitstaff and kitchen to ensure efficient service flow. Maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly demeanor at all times. Handle guest complaints politely and escalate issues when necessary. Ensure cleanliness and readiness of the hostess desk, menus, and entrance area. Monitor dining areas to anticipate guest needs and support service staff when required. Promote restaurant offerings, special events, and loyalty programs.

Skills & Requirements:

Excellent communication and customer service skills. Pleasant personality, well-groomed, and professional appearance. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure. Basic knowledge of food & beverage service is an advantage. Prior experience in hospitality or front-of-house roles preferred.
