Duties
Greet guests warmly and present menus confidently, providing detailed descriptions of menu items and specials.
Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest experience and maximize sales opportunities.
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction, address any concerns promptly, and provide exceptional guest relations.
Manage tables efficiently by bussing, resetting, and assisting hosts/hostesses as needed to maintain smooth service flow.
Handle cash transactions accurately through POS or cashiering systems like OpenTable, ensuring proper cash handling and basic math skills.
Maintain cleanliness of service areas, adhere to food safety regulations, and support food preparation or kitchen staff when necessary.
Assist with night club or bar service during evening hours, providing a lively atmosphere while maintaining professionalism.
Support team members in all aspects of food service and guest engagement to foster a welcoming environment.
Qualifications
Prior restaurant or food service experience preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude and the ability to handle multiple tables efficiently.
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts.
Ability to upsell menu items confidently using sales techniques to enhance guest satisfaction.
Previous host/host or bussing experience is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling responsibilities.
