As F&B Captain at Hunger Inc. you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are the characteristics of our dining experience. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding Food & Beverage offerings makes guests feel unique and valued.

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager/ General Manager

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Always be warm, courteous and polite

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service

• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative, casual and helpful way

• Follow Hunger Inc. policies, procedures and service standards

• Be completely well versed with food & beverage offered at the outlet.

• Understand how all items are procured, prepared and served to explain the guests correctly.

• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages

• Ensure cleanliness of cutlery, crockery and glassware is maintained

• Housekeeping cleanliness is maintained inside and outside the restaurant periphery

• Carry out opening and closing procedures as per Peakscale checklists

• Other duties as assigned by the Senior Captain

• Assist in training of Stewards for restaurant duties

Requirements

• Previous service experience an asset

• Previous point of sale system experience an asset, but not required

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

• Highly responsible & reliable

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team

• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
