Job Description

Designation: Fashion Production Merchandiser Education: Graduate in Fashion Designing Experience: 6-9 years in merchandising (women formal wear) Job Location: Andheri (5 mins walkable from WEH Metro Station)
The Fashion Production Merchandiser will be the critical link between designer and manufacturing, overseeing the entire garment production process from sampling to final shipment.

Key responsibilities include managing product development, sourcing materials, negotiating costs and terms with suppliers, ensuring timely production and quality control, overseeing documentation and logistics, and maintaining clear communication between all parties involved.

Responsibilities

Order Management & Product Development:

Process and confirm orders Coordinate the development of samples with design and production teams Oversee sampling, fittings, and final garment approvals
Sourcing & Costing:

Source and purchase fabrics, trims, and accessories Negotiate with suppliers on price, quality, and delivery timelines Estimate and manage product costs and budgets to ensure profitability
Production Oversight:

Plan and monitor production timelines and schedules Track raw materials and ensure timely delivery for production Oversee quality control during production through in-line and final inspections
Communication & Documentation:

Serve as the primary liaison between the designer and the manufacturing unit or outsourced factories Maintain clear and continuous communication on order status and any potential issues Prepare and manage all necessary production and shipping documents
Logistics & Shipping:

Coordinate shipping schedules and transportation logistics Ensure timely dispatch of goods to the forwarder and manage post-shipment processes
