Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service terms to achieve optimal cost-efficiency and production quality.
Costing & Budgeting
Develop and maintain budgets for product lines, collections, and development cycles.
Monitor and control production costs, identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives without compromising product integrity.
Order Planning & Management
Develop and execute production schedules in coordination with suppliers to meet delivery deadlines.
Track order progress and proactively manage delays or issues throughout the production cycle.
Quality Control & Assurance
Define and communicate quality standards to vendors and factories.
Conduct quality inspections and audits at key production stages to ensure compliance with standards.
Sample Development & Approval
Oversee the sample development process to ensure accurate representation of design, fit, and finish.
Provide critical feedback and approve final samples for bulk production.
Inventory Management & Demand Forecasting
Implement efficient inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels, turnover, and replenishment.
Leverage historical data and market analysis to forecast demand and align production planning accordingly.
Logistics & Supply Chain Management
Manage end-to-end logistics, including transportation, shipping, and delivery schedules.
Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs procedures, and international trade policies.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and support a team of merchandisers and production coordinators.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
Strategic Planning & Decision-Making
Contribute to strategic planning efforts, including product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies.
Make data-driven decisions to enhance profitability, brand positioning, and market responsiveness.
Client Communication
Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, clients, buyers, and other stakeholders.
Provide timely updates on production progress, delivery timelines, and any critical issues.
Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting
Resolve production challenges and bottlenecks by implementing effective solutions.
