Job Description

We are looking for a highly creative and passionate Fashion Designer to join our growing team at Mewoki. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating unique, trend-setting designs that align with our brand's philosophy of pure creativity.

Requirements and responsibilities:

1. A Proven Experience

o Must have hands-on experience designing for commercial fashion brands or independent labels, with end-to-end design-to-production lifecycle exposure.

2. Advanced Software Proficiency

o Expert-level skills in Adobe Illustrator, procreate Photoshop, and CLO 3D (or similar 3D garment simulation software).

o Knowledge of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tools is a strong plus.

3. Exceptional Technical Knowledge

o In-depth understanding of garment construction, stitching techniques, pattern making, and fit correction. Ability to review and comment on patterns, tech packs, and sample fittings with technical accuracy.

4. Strong Fabric & Material Expertise

o Must have knowledge of a wide range of fabrics, their behaviour, and suitability based on garment type. o Experience with sustainable and organic fabrics is an added advantage.

5. Trend & Market Intelligence

o Ability to analyze both global and Indian fashion trends. o Should be able to translate macro trends into commercially viable collections for Mewoki's target audience.

6. Eye for Detail & Storytelling

o Ability to build narrative-led collections with strong brand alignment.

o Every design should have a story, theme, or cultural essence behind it.

7. Sampling & Production Handling

o Experience coordinating with pattern masters, local tailors, or manufacturers to ensure accuracy in sampling and scaling for production.

o Visit of Units (manufacturing, production) is mandatory based on the requirement. (Travel allowance out of the staion would be borne by the company in this aspect).

8. Strong Communication & Presentation Skills

o Must be able to clearly explain design rationale, technical requirements, and trends to both creative and non-creative team members.
