Job Description

Design Development:

Creating and sketching design concepts, developing technical drawings (tech packs), and creating prototypes.

Trend Research:

Analyzing current fashion trends and forecasting future trends.

Material Selection:

Choosing fabrics, trims, and embellishments that align with the design and target market.

Production Oversight:

Supervising pattern-making, garment construction, and quality control to ensure designs are brought to life accurately.

Collaboration:

Working with patternmakers, seamstresses, manufacturers, and other design team members.

Presentation:

Presenting designs to clients, retailers, or at fashion shows.

Marketing and Sales:

Promoting designs to potential customers and retail outlets.

Cost Management:

Determining prices and managing costs throughout the production process.
