Responsibilities

Design and conceptualization:

Sketch and develop new clothing.

Trend research:

Study fashion trends and market research to anticipate future styles and identify opportunities.

Material selection:

Choose fabrics, colors, prints, and trims that align with the design concept and seasonal themes.

Production oversight:

Create technical drawings and specifications and work with pattern makers and manufacturers to produce prototypes and final garments.

Collaboration:

Work with other designers, marketing teams, and production staff to refine designs and ensure they meet business goals.

Presentation:

Present design ideas to clients, managers.

Required skills

Creativity and strong artistic ability Attention to detail Strong communication skills Ability to work under tight deadlines Knowledge of textiles, fabrics, and materials Proficiency in design software, such as Adobe Illustrator and CAD programs Understanding of the entire production process Excellent visualization skills
