POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Designer will work with colleagues from design and cross functional teams team to bring to life new designs. This individual will drive and support the stages of the design creation process for our Couture & Bridal lines, from establishing initial design themes, refining concepts through ideation and brainstorming, through development and manufacturing details.

The ideal candidate will be a proven creative designer and will understand the intricacies of developing a well-executed couture collection. They will be hands-on in the process of design with a great appreciation of the design process, from research & ideation, to applying the proper construction techniques, the appropriate materials, and thinking through every detail of each garment. We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills who fully understands fashion, trends, product markets, and consumer expectations.

Responsibilities:

Independently lead capsules to approved briefs Manage all aspects of the product design process to include market research, mood board creation, designing, sketching, specs and fit. Innovatively approach all stages of the design and development process: seasonal trend research & identifying big ideas and shifts in the fashion landscape. Manage all tech pack execution and pass to PD. Cultivate a highly engaged and collaborative culture built on passion and our values
Qualifications/Preferred Skills:

2+ years of experience in Indian Couture / Bridal Fashion Creativity and innovation are key, alongside strong technical knowledge and skills Exceptional knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and surfaces. Excellent communication & leadership skills Ability to sketch both technical drawings and freeform renderings Confident, can-do attitude with the ability to influence others. EXPERIENCE WITH A LEADING COUTURE/LUXURY LABEL
DESIRED CHARACTERISITCS:

Creative but disciplined. Results-oriented problem solver. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with co-workers . Ability to work with karigars & masters of the trade. Possess strong attention to detail
