About the internship

Selected intern\'s day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Managing the design process from conception through to the final styling
2. Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics, and techniques, and seeking design inspiration
3. Collaborating with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to lines, and create new concepts
4. Ensuring the product agrees with a business strategy
5. Selecting fabrics and trims
6. Creating production sketches for development packages
7. Collaborating with a technical designer to ensure development packages are accurate
8. Reviewing product for style and fit during the presentation
9. Presenting story, mood, color boards, and samples to buyers
10. Working on pattern making

Other requirements

1. Pursuing a bachelor\'s degree in design or fine arts, or a college degree in fashion design or a related field

2. Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator

3. Availability to travel for research and product development

4. Ability to do sketches by hand

5. Excellent design and conceptual skills

6. Excellent sense of style and colour

7. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

8. Ability to meet multiple deadlines
