We are seeking a passionate and creative Fashion Design Intern to join our dynamic team and contribute to our vision.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Fashion Design Intern to assist in the creative and operational aspects of our women's boutique. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about fashion, has a keen eye for trends, and possesses knowledge of social media, particularly in creating engaging content like reels to showcase fashion. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in design, styling, social media content creation, and boutique operations under the guidance of an experienced designer in a vibrant, fashion-forward environment.

Responsibilities

Design Support

: Assist in sketching and conceptualizing new clothing designs, focusing on women's fashion trends, silhouettes, and aesthetics.

Trend Research

: Research current and emerging fashion trends, including fabrics, colors, and styles, to inspire new collections.

Mood Board Creation

: Create mood boards and visual presentations to communicate design ideas and concepts.

Fabric & Accessory Sourcing

: Support the team in scouting and selecting fabrics, trims, and accessories for upcoming collections.

Production Assistance

: Participate in basic cutting, sewing, and tailoring tasks to bring designs to life, gaining hands-on experience in garment production.

Styling & Merchandising

: Assist in styling outfits for displays, photoshoots, and customer consultations to enhance the boutique's visual appeal.

Social Media Content Creation

: Create engaging social media content, including Instagram reels, TikToks, and posts, to showcase new collections, styling tips, and behind-the-scenes content for the boutique's audience.

Inventory Management

: Help manage inventory, including organizing stock and ensuring the availability of materials and products.

Customer Interaction

: Support in-store activities, including assisting customers with styling advice and understanding their preferences.

Social Media & Marketing

: Contribute to the boutique's social media strategy by planning and scheduling posts, analyzing engagement, and promoting new collections to grow our online presence.
Qualifications

Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a fashion design, textile design, or related program (preferred but not mandatory). Passion for women's fashion and a strong interest in boutique retail. Strong knowledge of social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok) and experience creating engaging content, such as fashion-focused reels and posts. Basic knowledge of sketching, garment construction, and sewing techniques. Familiarity with fabrics, textures, and fashion trends. Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and a flair for visual storytelling. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Proficiency in tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or video editing software (e.g., CapCut, InShot) is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Prior experience in fashion, retail, or social media content creation is a bonus but not required.
