We are seeking a well-connected and highly organized Fashion Brand Collaborator & Consultant to drive designer onboarding and merchandising for our multi-designer retail platform. This role is a blend of brand relations, buying support, merchandising strategy, and fashion business consulting. You will work closely with emerging and established designers to bring collections into the store, curate assortments, enhance product visibility, and maximize sell-through.
Ideal for someone with a strong sense of style, excellent communication skills, and deep knowledge of the fashion retail landscape.
Source and evaluate potential designer partners aligned with the store's aesthetic, price point, and customer profile.
Lead onboarding from initial outreach to contract/consignment discussions, product curation, and launch.
Maintain strong relationships with designers, showrooms, and brand representatives.
Merchandising & Buying Support
Curate product selections and seasonal assortments to ensure a balanced, trend-relevant merchandise mix.
Analyze stock movement, bestsellers, slow movers, and recommend replenishment or markdown strategies.
Create visual merchandising concepts in-store and online to highlight new arrivals and high-potential products.
Sales Optimization & Store Experience
Collaborate with store teams to educate staff on product knowledge, brand stories, and key selling points.
Develop promotional ideas, pop-ups, trunk shows, or designer meet-and-greets to drive engagement.
Monitor customer feedback to improve assortment and brand experiences.
Inventory & Operations
Support inventory intake, SKU setup, pricing validation, and quality checks.
Coordinate product photoshoots, digital uploads, tagging, and display standards.
Track consignments, deliveries, and returns as needed.
Reporting & Insights
Produce weekly/monthly performance reports for designer brands and internal teams.
Offer data-driven recommendations to improve sales, presentation, and customer interest.
Stay updated on fashion trends, competitor assortments, and industry movements.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in merchandising, buying, fashion retail, brand management, or showroom coordination.
Strong understanding of retail dynamics in multi-designer boutiques or concept stores.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to recognize strong brand identity, craftsmanship, commercial viability, and trend alignment.
Proficiency in inventory or retail systems is a plus (ERP, POS, Excel, Shopify, etc.).
