General Description
The manager will work on a range of agricultural R&D related activities with a focus on varietal trials, establish package of practice, crop economics, seed development, seed production in the field of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs).

Requirements
Roles & Responsibilities
Crop Physiology and Varietal Trial:
Understanding plant growth stages, nutrient requirements, and responses to environmental factors.
Optimizing crop management practices based on physiological principles.
Identifying and addressing potential problems related to plant health and stress.
Conducting research and trials to improve crop performance.
Crop and farm data Management
Seed Production:
Planning and executing seed production programs for various crops.
Ensuring seed quality and purity through proper field management and harvesting techniques.
Maintaining accurate records of seed production, including variety, location, and yield.
Developing and implementing strategies to improve seed yield and quality.
Farm Management:
Overseeing all aspects of farm operations, including planting, irrigation, fertilization, and pest/disease control.
Managing farm resources, including labor, equipment, and finances.
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Monitoring crop performance and yield, and making adjustments as needed.
Farmer Training & Exposure Visit:
Hands on training for good agricultural practices (GAP) to participating farmers.
Varietal exposure and demonstrations of stage wise crop to farmers for better adoption

Educational Qualification Required
B. Sc Ag & M. Sc Ag (Specialization in Plant Physiology or Genetics and Plant Breeding or Soil Science or Plant Pathology)
Skills Required
Technical Skills: Genetics, Plant Breeding
Strong knowledge of crop physiology, plant breeding, and seed production techniques and organic practices
Proficiency in using agricultural equipment and machinery.
Able to crop experiment lay out preparation data collection and reporting
Ability to diagnose plant problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
Experience with data analysis and record-keeping.
Management Skills:
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to motivate and manage a team of employees.
Proficiency in planning, organizing, and problem-solving.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Other Skills:
