Oshadi Collective is based in Erode, Tamil Nadu, building a regenerative fashion system from soil up. Regenerative agriculture is a core pillar of our business, with expanding acreage, farmer partnerships, and in-house farming teams each season. Our long-term vision is to establish permanent, locally rooted agricultural systems that regenerate soil, ecosystems, and livelihoods.
To support this mission, Oshadi Collective is seeking a
Farm Officer
to work closely with our farm team and partner farmers, supporting day-to-day farm operations, implementation of regenerative practices, and field-level coordination.
This is a
hands-on, field-intensive role
, suited to candidates who are deeply interested in regenerative and organic farming systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Farm Operations & Field Supervision
Supervise daily farming activities across Oshadi-managed farms and partnered farms.
Support and monitor operations including land preparation, sowing, irrigation, weeding, spraying, crop maintenance, and harvesting.
Ensure nutrient management, irrigation schedules, and crop treatments are implemented as per the farm plan and regenerative protocols.
Assist in harvest operations, including field readiness, sanitation practices, equipment checks, and daily harvest records.
2. Farmer Coordination & Technical Support
Conduct extensive field visits to partnered farms (average travel ~80 km per day).
Provide active, on-ground technical guidance to partner farmers on regenerative cultivation practices.
Respond to farmer queries related to crop health, soil management, pest control, irrigation, and inputs.
Build strong, trust-based relationships with farmers and local stakeholders.
3. Regenerative & Natural Input Management
Assist in preparation and application of bio-fertilizers, vermicompost, liquid manures, and natural pest repellents.
Support implementation of regenerative interventions such as crop rotations, cover crops, intercropping, and soil health practices.
Monitor effectiveness of regenerative inputs and practices in the field.
4. Data Collection, Monitoring & Documentation
Collect field-level data related to crop performance, soil health, yield, and regenerative interventions.
Assist in basic data analysis for ongoing agricultural studies and trials.
Maintain accurate farm records, logs, and databases.
Document best practices, learnings, and case studies from farm implementation.
5. Training & Capacity Building
Support the planning and execution of farmer trainings, field demonstrations, and workshops.
Assist in developing training materials, manuals, and simple guides for farmers.
Encourage adoption of regenerative practices through consistent engagement and follow-up.
6. Coordination & Support Functions
Coordinate with internal farm teams, managers, and external service providers.
Reach out to local vendors for agricultural inputs, services, and logistics when required.
Prepare periodic field reports and written updates on implementation progress and outcomes.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time.
