About the Initiative Rhapsody, in collaboration with Kamarajar Port Trust under its CSR programme, is implementing an innovative Project-Based Learning (PBL) initiative across government schools in North Chennai. The program is powered by Rhapsody in association with Kruu a global PBL platform that connects students with top professors and domain experts, delivering real-world, hands-on learning experiences across disciplines--from AI to Social Sciences.

Role Summary

As a Project Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in transforming classroom learning into an engaging, real-world experience for students from Grades 6 to 12. You will guide students through three stages of Project-Based Learning--Research, Ideate, and Design--ensuring active participation, critical thinking, and skill development. This internship is ideal for final-year B.Ed. students or recent B.Ed. graduates passionate about innovative pedagogy and grassroots education impact.

Key Responsibilities

- Facilitate PBL activities in assigned schools following Kruu's structured modules. - Mentor students across 3 project cycles over a period of 6 months.

- Conduct baseline, midline, and final assessments to evaluate student progress. - Support students in developing project submissions and presentations.

- Document project implementation, feedback, and outcomes as part of regular reporting. - Liaise with Kamarajar Port/Rhapsody coordination team and school heads to ensure smooth execution.

- Promote an inclusive, collaborative, and curiosity-driven classroom environment.

Eligibility Criteria -

Final year B.Ed. students or recent B.Ed. graduates.

Passionate about student-centered and experiential learning.

- Willingness to travel locally within North Chennai and work full-time at government schools.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Should Posses strong communication skills in Tamil language

- Ability to engage with middle and high school students effectively.

Preferred Skills - Basic knowledge of project-based learning or activity-based pedagogy.

- Prior experience working with schools or student mentoring is a plus.

- Tech-savvy and comfortable using basic digital tools for reporting and documentation(MS Office). What You'll Gain
