FACULTY POSITION

Manipal School of Life Sciences (MSLS) is an independent institute under the Manipal Academy of Higher


Education, established in the year 2006, and is one of the top life sciences institutes in the country. MSLS is a


constituent unit of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal. It is identified as TIFAC-

CORE (Technology Information, Forecasting & Assessment Council - Centres of Relevance & Excellence) of


the Government of India in the area of Pharmacogenomics. It actively promotes advanced research in India and


abroad, supported by the Government of India agencies such as DBT, ICMR, DST, BRNS, and a number of other


industry partners.

Assistant Professor Level

General Research areas:

Cancer, Infectious diseases, Metabolic disorders, Genetic diseases, Systems biology,


Genetic engineering, Bimolecular Physics, Autoimmune disorders.

Expertise: Genomics & gene editing, proteomics, metabolomics, image Analysis, AI & Machine Learning,

Computational Biology, Systems Biology, high end instruments and facility management

Qualification and experience:

Ph.D. with proven research experience with the passion for teaching is preferred

. Previous track record of high impact publications, extramural funding, teaching and vision to align and
grow with the Institute. Industry experience is also preferred.
