Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Lecturer in Applied Sciences, specialising in Biochemistry. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality education to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver lectures and practical sessions in Biochemistry and related subjects.

Qualifications:



1. Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry or a related field (Master's preferred).



2. Prior teaching experience in higher education is desirable



3. IB Chemistry/Biology experience preferred



4. Strong subject knowledge and expertise in biochemistry.



5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.



6. Commitment to student success and continuous improvement.

Develop curriculum, lesson plans, and learning materials in alignment with institutional standards and industry requirements. Guide and mentor students in their academic and professional development, including research projects and assignments. Evaluate and grade student work, providing constructive feedback for improvement. Stay updated with advancements in applied sciences and integrate them into teaching methodologies. Promote a culture of quality and compliance with regulatory standards in science education. Support the management of laboratory operations, ensuring safety and efficiency in practical sessions.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills Required:



A Master's or Ph.D. degree in Applied Bio chemistry , or a related field. Proven experience in teaching or training within the field of applied sciences and laboratory techniques. Strong knowledge of the modules listed and their practical applications in industry and research. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and colleagues. Proficiency in scientific data analysis and use of laboratory equipment. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Familiarity with HND quality assurance standards and regulatory practices in applied sciences.
