Position Overview:

ARASPL GROUP is seeking an experienced Factory Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations at our manufacturing facility in Domjur. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the steel industry, with a strong focus on production management, team supervision, and ensuring the efficient operation of the plant. The Factory Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of workers, ensuring that production targets are met, and maintaining safety and quality standards at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Management

Oversee and supervise the daily operations of the factory to ensure the production process runs smoothly.

Monitor production schedules, ensuring all targets are met in terms of quantity and quality.

Coordinate with the production planning team to ensure raw material availability and optimal machine usage.

Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues promptly to avoid downtime and delays.

2. Team Supervision

Supervise and lead a team of operators, technicians, and laborers in the factory.

Assign tasks to workers based on their skill sets and workload.

Ensure the team follows standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adheres to safety guidelines.

Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and ensure continuous skill development for all team members.

3. Quality Control & Safety

Ensure that all manufacturing processes are carried out according to company quality standards and customer specifications.

Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain quality control and prevent defects or discrepancies in the product.

Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in the factory.

Report safety hazards and take corrective actions to minimize risks, including organizing safety training sessions for the team.

4. Equipment Maintenance & Utilization

Ensure the machinery and equipment are operating efficiently and safely by coordinating with maintenance teams for routine checks.

Oversee preventive maintenance schedules to reduce equipment downtime and ensure smooth operations.

Manage the repair and replacement of factory equipment as needed to avoid disruptions in production.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of daily production, labor usage, and inventory.

Prepare and submit regular reports on production status, machine performance, and quality control issues to senior management.

Monitor and document raw material usage, wastage, and inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.

6. Cost Control & Efficiency

Monitor and control production costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and improved efficiency.

Ensure optimal use of raw materials, labor, and resources to meet production goals while minimizing waste.

Collaborate with the management team to identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in factory supervision, with a strong focus on steel manufacturing.

Hands-on experience in managing production lines and teams in a steel manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of production processes, machine maintenance, and quality control in steel manufacturing.

Familiarity with factory safety standards and regulations (OSHA, ISO, etc.).

Good problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage a diverse team.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

Experience with automated production systems and machinery specific to steel industry operations.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Certification in quality control (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO) or safety management.

Strong understanding of inventory management and procurement processes in a manufacturing setting.
