The Factory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor, ensuring that manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and according to quality standards. This role involves managing a team of workers, coordinating production schedules, and maintaining equipment and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily factory operations and production activities.
Monitor workforce productivity and ensure adherence to production targets, quality standards, and deadlines.
Assign tasks and set goals for production workers and machine operators.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
Conduct routine inspections of machinery, equipment, and work areas.
Report and resolve production or personnel issues to maintain optimal operations.
Train, mentor, and evaluate factory workers; provide feedback and support development.
Maintain accurate records of production metrics, attendance, and incidents.
Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma or degree in industrial management, engineering, or related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years in a manufacturing or production environment.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficient in using manufacturing software and MS Office Suite.
Good verbal and written communication.
Working Conditions:
Physical work in a factory setting with exposure to noise, dust, heat, and machinery.
May involve standing for long periods, lifting moderate loads, and shift work including nights/weekends.
