The Factory Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing facility. This role involves managing production, ensuring quality control, optimizing processes, and leading a team to meet the company's production goals. The Factory Manager will work closely with various departments to ensure efficient production while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management:
Plan, organize, and oversee the production process to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing.
Develop and implement production schedules and monitor workflow to meet production targets.
Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure the availability of raw materials and resources.
Quality Control:
Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure products meet established standards.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues.
Work with the quality assurance team to develop and improve quality control measures.
Process Optimization:
Analyze production processes and identify opportunities for improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Implement lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement strategies.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance.
Team Leadership:
Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production staff to achieve operational goals.
Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills and capabilities of the production team.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to encourage teamwork and productivity.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety.
Investigate and report any safety incidents and implement corrective actions.
Budget Management:
Prepare and manage the production budget to ensure cost-effective operations.
Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Report financial performance and operational metrics to senior management.
