1. Production & Operations Management
Develop daily production timetables based on weekly/monthly planning.
Supervise and monitor production processes to achieve daily targets.
Identify and report discrepancies affecting output to the General Manager (GM) of Operations, and prepare revised schedules to meet weekly goals.
2. Raw Material Planning & Procurement
Ensure adequate stock of raw materials to meet daily production requirements.
Oversee procurement, verify received quantities, and escalate discrepancies to the GM
3. Quality Assurance
Conduct frequent quality checks during and after production.
Ensure products meet customer expectations for finishing, strength, and durability.
Maintain and update quality reports consistently.
4. Maintenance & Safety
Maintain inventory of spare parts and validate GRNs.
Coordinate with the maintenance SPOC to schedule inspections, servicing, and repairs.
Enforce adherence to safety protocols across the factory premises.
Initiate activities to improve factory efficiency.
5. Dispatch & Logistics
Supervise timely dispatch of finished goods to customers.
Ensure smooth coordination between production and logistics teams.
6. Workforce Management
Ensure adequate workforce availability to meet production forecasts.
Coordinate with GMO/labour contractors to address labour shortages.
Monitor worker performance, identify training needs, and foster continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with labour laws, including overtime regulations.
Track attendance and overtime for accurate compensation.
Provide recommendations on promotions, salary hikes, and personnel decisions to the GM.
7. Reporting & Documentation
Submit daily reports on production, quality, and dispatch.
Report on inventory levels of raw materials, finished goods, and spare parts.
Track and report consumption of spares, fuel, energy, and other expenses.
Liaise with the accounts team to ensure accurate and transparent reporting.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred).
Proven experience in factory or production management.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of quality assurance, safety protocols, and labour regulations.
Excellent organizational and reporting abilities.
