Oversee day-to-day factory operations to ensure smooth functioning
Coordinate production planning, shift schedules, and manpower deployment
Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and resources
Maintain discipline, punctuality, and adherence to factory rules
2. Manpower, HR Coordination & Workforce Management
Manage attendance, leave, overtime, and shift allocation
Support recruitment, onboarding, and induction of workers and staff
Handle worker grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
Ensure implementation of company HR policies and shop-floor rules
Act as the first point of contact between workers and management
3. Labour Law & Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws including
Factories Act, PF, ESI, Minimum Wages, Bonus, Gratuity, and other labour regulations
Maintain statutory registers, records, and documentation
Coordinate with consultants and handle labour department inspections
Ensure timely renewals of licenses and statutory filings
Maintain a zero non-compliance and audit-ready factory environment
4. Administration & Facility Management
Oversee factory administration including
security, housekeeping, maintenance, utilities, and vendor coordination
Ensure proper upkeep of factory premises, assets, and infrastructure
Manage admin vendors and service providers
Control administrative costs while maintaining standards
5. Safety, Discipline & Standards
Ensure adherence to safety norms, statutory safety requirements, and best practices
Promote a safe, orderly, and professional work environment
Support safety audits and corrective actions
6. Reporting & Management Coordination
Provide regular reports on manpower, attendance, productivity, compliance, and admin matters
Coordinate closely with management on operational and people-related issues
Support management during audits, inspections, or expansion activities
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience:
10-15+ years in a manufacturing / factory environment as Plant Manager, Factory Manager, or Unit Head
Strong exposure to
manpower management, labour laws, and factory administration
Hands-on experience dealing with shop-floor workers and government authorities
Good understanding of basic production coordination and factory operations
Ability to independently manage plant operations with minimal supervision
Strong documentation, communication, and leadership skills
