Post:

Factory Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Operations

Plan, organize, and control daily factory operations to meet production targets. Ensure optimal utilization of machinery, manpower, and materials. Monitor production schedules and ensure on-time delivery.
Quality Control

Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications. Implement quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate with QA/QC teams to reduce defects and rework.
Maintenance & Equipment

Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of machinery. Ensure minimal downtime and efficient machine performance. Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely repairs.
Manpower Management

Manage workforce planning, shift allocation, and productivity. Train, guide, and evaluate supervisors and shop-floor staff. Maintain discipline and foster a positive work culture.
Cost & Inventory Control

Control production costs, wastage, and material consumption. Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. Coordinate with purchase and stores departments.
Safety & Compliance

Ensure adherence to safety standards, factory acts, and labor laws. Implement safety procedures and conduct regular audits. Ensure compliance with ISO/industry regulations.
Reporting & Coordination

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports. Coordinate with Sales, Planning, Purchase, and Logistics teams. Support management in strategic planning and process improvement.

Requirements:

Minimum 8-15 years in manufacturing operations At least 3-5 years in a Factory / Plant Manager role Diploma in Engineering with extensive relevant experience may also be considered Master's Degree (MBA / M.Tech / PGDM in Operations / Production Management) Certification or training in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, ISO (9001/14001/45001) is an added advantage Knowledge of Factory Act, labor laws, safety, and statutory compliance
