Job Description

Oversee daily operations of the sheet metal and welding fabrication facility. Plan, coordinate, and manage production schedules to meet delivery targets. Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO, ASME, AWS, etc.) and customer specifications. Supervise and guide a team of fabricators, welders, and machine operators. Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to optimize efficiency. Ensure proper maintenance and operation of fabrication equipment (press brakes, shearing machines, MIG/TIG welding equipment, CNC machines, etc.). Enforce health and safety regulations; conduct regular safety audits. Work closely with the design, procurement, and quality assurance teams to streamline operations. Maintain inventory of raw materials and finished goods. Generate daily/weekly reports on production, downtime, rework, and resource utilization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field. Minimum 5-8 years of experience in sheet metal and welding fabrication, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Strong technical knowledge of fabrication methods, welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC), and metal finishing. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols. Proficiency in using ERP systems and MS Office. Strong leadership and team management skills. Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
