Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated HR Manager for our manufacturing unit, preferably from a chemical or heavy industry background. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end HR functions at the plant level, including labour law compliance, worker management, grievance handling, union relations, contract labour management, employee engagement, and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Labour & Statutory Compliance o Ensure full compliance with all applicable labour laws (Factories Act, ESI, PF, Act, etc.) o Liaison with labour departments and government authorities. o Maintain statutory registers, records, and timely submission of returns. o Conduct internal audits for labour compliance.

2. Workforce Management o Oversee daily HR operations related to workers and staff at the plant. o Supervise time office functions - attendance, leave, overtime, and payroll inputs. o Manage manpower planning, recruitment & onboarding of blue-collar and contract workers. o Coordinate with contractors for labour deployment and compliance documentation.

3. Employee Relations & Grievance Handling o Act as the first point of contact for resolving grievances and disciplinary issues. o Handle disputes, misconduct, and domestic inquiries. o Maintain a harmonious and productive work environment. o Build strong relationships with employees and ensure timely resolution of issues.

4. HR Policy Implementation & IR Management o Prepare and implement Standing Orders and internal policies. o Implement and monitor HR policies, procedures, and guidelines at the factory level. o Educate employees and supervisors on policy adherence.

5. Training & Development o Identify training needs for workers and conduct periodic skill development programs. o Organize workshops related to safety, discipline, and compliance.

6. Health, Safety & Welfare o Coordinate safety committees and ensure compliance with safety regulations. o Oversee welfare activities such as canteen, transport, uniforms, etc. o Ensure implementation of POSH guidelines.

Required Qualifications & Experience:



o

Graduate/Postgraduate in HR / MSW / MBA - HR / Labour Welfare

8-15 years of experience in plant HR, preferably in chemical or manufacturing industries Strong knowledge of labour laws and factory HR operations Experience in handling unions and grievance redressal Familiarity with Time Office software / HRMS tools
