Job Description

Factory Head (also known as Plant Head, Factory Manager, or Operations Head) is the senior-most leader responsible for managing the entire manufacturing unit. Their role combines strategic planning, operational execution, people management, and continuous improvement to ensure efficient and profitable factory operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Management

Plan, organize, and oversee daily manufacturing operations.
Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are met.
Monitor production efficiency and minimize downtime or waste.
2. Quality Assurance

Enforce strict quality control processes.
Coordinate with the Quality Department to maintain product standards.
Investigate defects and implement corrective actions.
3. Maintenance & Safety

Oversee maintenance of machines and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
Ensure compliance with factory safety norms and statutory regulations.
Promote a safe and clean working environment.
4. Team Leadership

Supervise and motivate production supervisors, engineers, and workers.
Build a culture of accountability and teamwork.
Identify skill gaps and organize employee training.
5. Cost & Resource Management

Manage factory budgets and control production costs.
Optimize manpower, material, and energy utilization.
Drive initiatives for cost reduction and productivity improvement.
6. Coordination & Communication

Liaise with senior management on production status, challenges, and improvement plans.
Coordinate with departments like Purchase, Accounts, HR, and Logistics.
Represent the plant in audits and compliance inspections.
7. Continuous Improvement

Implement lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
Drive innovation and process optimization projects.
Analyze performance data (OEE, rejection rates, downtime) for improvement.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
