The Facility Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of building facilities, ensuring the workplace is safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role involves supervising a team of facility technicians and custodians, coordinating maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the facilities team, including maintenance technicians, janitorial staff, and contractors.
Ensure all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, etc.) are maintained and functioning efficiently.
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and maintain records of maintenance activities.
Monitor workplace safety and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Manage building access, security systems, and emergency procedures.
Handle service requests from internal departments and ensure timely resolution.
Liaise with external vendors and service providers; review contracts and monitor service levels.
Maintain facility budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify issues and ensure standards are upheld.
Support office moves, space planning, and facility improvement projects.
Provide training and performance feedback to facilities staff
