Role: Nurse Practitioner Industry Type: Medical Services / Hospital Department: Healthcare & Life Sciences Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Role Category: Nursing Education: B.Sc in Nursing, Diploma in GNM, or GNM Nursing Checking vitals on a weekly basis Daily body checks Medication preparation and administration, including insulin administration Dressing changes Catheter bag and catheter changes Oxygen administration, if needed Supervise both care and non-care support staff, monitor performance closely, and escalate any issues to the Facility Manager (FM) as needed. Provide high-quality care to every resident, implement processes for improvement, and provide feedback. Cover for the FM in their absence and be responsible for escalating issues related to residents, staff, maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, and dietary services. Notify the FM of supplies needed for resident care or other facility items. Order resident supplies as required and maintain medication indent records. Respond to family inquiries and escalate concerns to the FM. Send doctor visit update emails and inform families about critical changes in condition or hospitalizations. Prepare and share draft updates with the FM as required. Collaborate with the Sales, Transitions, and Care teams to plan and welcome new residents. Ensure a full understanding of the pre-admission assessment process. Coordinate room preparation and admission documentation for new residents. Conduct full admission assessments and complete all necessary paperwork. Assist the FM in reviewing and updating care plans. Identify new care requirements such as physiotherapy or physician reviews and communicate them to the FM. Handle emergency management and assist the FM in root cause analysis. Complete and submit incident reports, and contact families following any incidents. Maintain all required documentation in the company's care management software and ensure Care Assistants follow documentation guidelines. Print and distribute daily care forms such as shift care forms, intake/output sheets, and hygiene checklists. In case of resident hospitalization, ensure the room is ready for readmission and that discharge instructions are followed. Visit residents during hospital appointments or arrange a Team Leader/Care Assistant to accompany them as required. Develop and manage the monthly activities calendar, ensuring engaging and meaningful activities for residents. Provide training, support, and guidance to new care staff. Give performance feedback to the FM and facilitate training or retraining sessions when necessary. Monitor the performance of both care and non-care support teams and share periodic feedback with the FM. Prepare the agenda for monthly meetings, facilitate discussions, and record and share minutes of meetings. Identify and resolve all maintenance needs promptly. Supervise overall housekeeping and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained. Train staff to follow established guidelines. Meet clients and conduct facility tours in the absence of the Facility Manager. Manage inventory for housekeeping and stationery supplies, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
