The Gym and Society Club Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and overall administration of all fitness and recreational facilities within a residential society or club. The role includes managing facility staff, ensuring a safe and clean environment, coordinating events, and conducting regular indoor and outdoor site inspections to ensure facilities are in excellent condition.
Key Responsibilities:1. Facility Operations:
Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the gym, swimming pool, indoor games, outdoor courts, banquet hall, and other society amenities.
Monitor equipment maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and readiness of all areas.
Coordinate maintenance schedules with vendors and contractors for timely servicing and repairs.
2. Manpower Management:
Supervise and manage a team including gym trainers, housekeeping staff, lifeguards, security, and support staff.
Schedule shifts, assign duties, and ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
Provide training and guidance to staff for quality service delivery and customer engagement.
3. Site Visits and Inspection:
Conduct regular site visits (both indoor and outdoor facilities) to inspect for wear and tear, hygiene, and safety compliance.
Report and resolve any maintenance issues or operational bottlenecks.
Ensure that health and safety regulations are strictly followed.
4. Member & Guest Coordination:
Act as a point of contact for society residents and club members for queries, feedback, or complaints.
Organize community engagement events, fitness programs, and social activities.
Maintain records of member usage, feedback, and suggestions for improvements.
5. Budgeting & Inventory:
Assist in budget planning for facility operations.
Maintain inventory of gym and club equipment, cleaning supplies, and consumables.
Recommend procurement or replacements when needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Hospitality, Sports Management, or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facility or operations management (preferably in a residential society, club, or fitness facility).
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Knowledge of safety standards and equipment maintenance.
Preferred Skills:
Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and recreational programming.
Familiarity with facility management software or tools.
First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
Working Conditions:
Full-time role with flexible hours, including weekends and holidays based on facility needs.
Involves both desk work and physical site inspection duties.
