to oversee the maintenance, safety, and functionality of all physical assets in our hotel/resort. The ideal candidate will ensure that all building systems, equipment, and grounds operate efficiently and meet the highest standards of guest comfort, safety, and brand expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage all aspects of facility operations including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, water systems, elevators, and structural maintenance.
Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are implemented and followed for all equipment and systems.
Manage a team of technicians, engineers, and housekeeping support staff; provide training and performance evaluations.
Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and resolve issues proactively.
Oversee external contractors and service providers for landscaping, pest control, waste management, fire safety systems, etc.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, fire and life safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
Manage facility-related budgets, inventory, procurement, and cost control.
Respond promptly to guest complaints and maintenance requests to ensure satisfaction.
Support emergency preparedness plans and coordinate response during crisis situations (fire, power outage, floods, etc.).
Coordinate renovation or expansion projects in collaboration with architects, designers, and vendors.
Maintain records of repairs, maintenance schedules, service contracts, and warranties.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Facility Management, Engineering, Hospitality Management, or related field.
5+ years of experience in a similar role within the hotel/resort or hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building management systems (BMS).
Proven leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
Proficient in facility management software, MS Office, and maintenance tracking tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in facility management (e.g., IFMA, CFM, PMP).
Experience with LEED certification or green building practices.
Previous experience in managing luxury or large-scale resort properties.
