The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of hospital facility operations, basic electrical knowledge, and the ability to manage housekeeping staff to maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment for patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities
:
Facility & Electrical Management
:
Monitor and maintain electrical systems, power backups (DG sets, UPS), and lighting throughout the hospital.
Coordinate with electrical contractors and technicians for repairs, installations, and maintenance.
Ensure timely servicing of lift systems, air conditioning, generators, and biomedical equipment (in coordination with vendors).
Ensure compliance with safety standards and preventive maintenance schedules.
Manage energy usage and report on utility consumption.
Housekeeping Supervision
:
Supervise housekeeping staff, schedule shifts, and assign daily tasks.
Ensure all hospital areas (wards, OPD, ICU, washrooms, common areas) are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control compliance.
Monitor housekeeping inventory and stock (cleaning agents, tools, PPE kits, etc.).
Train housekeeping staff in hospital safety, hygiene, and waste segregation.
General Facility Oversight
:
Manage daily facility operations including waste disposal, pest control, plumbing, security coordination, and vendor management.
Maintain facility records, checklists, and compliance reports.
Assist during facility audits, fire drills, or emergency maintenance situations.
Qualifications
:
Education
: Diploma / ITI / Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Facility Management
3-5 years of experience in facility or operations management, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setup
Should have hands-on experience managing both
electrical systems
and
housekeeping teams
Desired Skills
:
Good knowledge of hospital infrastructure, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) services
Ability to manage staff teams and coordinate with vendors
Strong problem-solving, inspection, and maintenance planning skills
Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, checklists, maintenance logs)
Understanding of infection control and hospital safety norms
