Oversee daily maintenance of school buildings, classrooms, laboratories, hostels (if applicable), playgrounds, and common areas
Ensure proper functioning of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire safety, lifts, generators, CCTV, and water systems
Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance schedules
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for repairs and AMC contracts
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safety norms, fire safety regulations, and CBSE/local authority guidelines
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments
Maintain records of safety audits, fitness certificates, and approvals
Handle emergency preparedness and disaster management procedures
Housekeeping & Campus Management
Supervise housekeeping, sanitation, and gardening staff
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene across the campus
Monitor waste management and eco-friendly practices
Asset & Inventory Management
Maintain records of school assets, equipment, and infrastructure
Monitor usage, upkeep, and replacement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment
Assist in procurement planning related to facilities and maintenance
Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with academic and administrative departments for facilities support
Address staff and parent complaints related to infrastructure and facilities
Support school events, examinations, and special programs
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Facility Management / Administration or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a school or institutional setting
Knowledge of safety regulations, vendor management, and maintenance systems
