The role ensures preventive and reactive maintenance is carried out efficiently, with a focus on safety, compliance, and minimizing downtime.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Coordination
Schedule and monitor preventive maintenance (PM) for all technical systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and track completion.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.
Ensure work is executed safely and within approved quality standards.
AMC & Vendor Management
Coordinate with AMC vendors (fire alarm, HVAC, lift, solar, water treatment, etc.).
Verify service completion reports, certifications, and AMC documentation.
Ensure all vendors comply with school policies and safety protocols.
Safety & Compliance
Support statutory inspections (CEIG, fire, lift, pollution control) and maintain records.
Ensure fire safety systems and emergency exits are functional at all times.
Monitor electrical load management and energy efficiency initiatives.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain maintenance logs, PM schedules, and breakdown reports in Freshservice/shared drive.
Track material usage, spare part inventory, and contractor performance.
Submit weekly maintenance summaries and monthly performance dashboards.
Team Coordination
Supervise electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and HVAC technicians.
Ensure staff adhere to work standards, use PPE, and follow safety instructions.
Conduct tool box meetings and technical training sessions.
3. Required Qualifications
Diploma or degree in
Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
.
Minimum
3-5 years of experience
in building maintenance or technical facility management.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance software (Freshservice/CMMS preferred).
