Our Team
Within KES, our Koch-Glitsch division is currently hiring for a Facility Management Lead, India. This role is intended to be in our Manufacturing center in Savli, Vadodara, India. This person will be responsible for Facility Management, Risk Management, Project Execution, Facility Security in multiple locations within India. This role involves frequent traveling to other sites i.e. Mumbai and Vadodara city office.
What You Will Do
Facility Management: Oversee and manage the physical aspects of a facility including infrastructure and utilities, ensuring its functionality, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Apply Koch, Inc. Principle Based Management (PBM), to achieve results by developing vision and implementing strategies for operational excellence in Facility Management.
Ensuring that the facility and its operations comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
Overseeing and ensuring the facility's infrastructure, utilities, and systems are in good working condition.
Overseeing and managing infrastructure related projects and renovations.
Overseeing facility budgets, and operating expenses.
Monitoring, and maintaining health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Reviewing contracts with vendors for various services, including maintenance, repairs, and utilities.
Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors, and collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth facility operations.
Implementing and monitoring sustainability initiatives, such as energy efficiency measures and waste reduction programs.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact an organization's operations, reputation, and overall goals.
Continuously monitoring and identifying potential risks across various areas including operations.
Developing and implementing strategies, policies, and procedures to minimize or eliminate identified risks.
Regularly reviewing and updating risk management processes to ensure their effectiveness and adapt to changing conditions.
Creating and updating risk management policies, procedures, and guidelines while analysing proposed legislation or laws, and understand how it may impact the organization.
Effectively communicating risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and other relevant information to relevant stakeholders. This includes preparation and presentation of information to government officials, crafting compelling arguments and providing data to support organizations positions.
Communicate the organization's policy positions to government officials, lobbying for changes or the enactment of legislation that benefits the organization.
Stay informed about government activities and policy changes, providing the organization with valuable insights.
Promoting risk awareness and providing training to employees across the organization.
Project Execution: Coordinates the development of infrastructure projects within an organization, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders.
Defining project goals, scope, timelines, and resources.
Overseeing the implementation of project plans and ensuring they are executed efficiently.
Managing project budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization, and tracking expenses.
Communicating project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, and managing their expectations.
Coordinating internal and external resources, including vendors, to ensure project needs are met.
Maintaining project documentation, preparing progress reports, and communicating with stakeholders.
Managing change requests and their impact on project timelines and budgets.
Identifying and resolving project issues, making critical decisions to keep projects on track.
Fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams and providing leadership to project teams.
Facility Security Coordinator (FSC): Each Facility must have a designated Facility Security Coordinator (FSC). This individual shall be responsible for preparing and administering Facility Security Plans and programs. It is understood that at Facilities without an employee presence, or a limited number of employees, the FSC may be positioned at a separate Facility and be responsible for multiple Facilities.
Serve as the primary physical security point of contact at the facility.
Administer site specific physical security programs to include: Facility security risk assessment review, Physical security measures (security officers, fences & gates, access control, intrusion detection, CCTV systems), Security awareness and related training for employees, Facility security plan, Security incident reporting, Facility workplace violence response plan, Integration of security into facility emergency response plan.
Assist with investigations of security incidents or threats of violence as requested.
Maintain active communication and collaboration with Corporate Security. Report security incidents, Report changing facility security risks and threats, ensure security related communications from Corporate Security are passed on to facility personnel and leadership
Develop and maintain communication and liaison with local first responders.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
10-15 years of experience in the engineering industry, particularly in facility management with strong leadership skills.
Degree in Facility Management or related qualification in Engineering.
'Certified Facility Manager' certification will be added advantage.
A basic understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other infrastructure.
Ability to supervise and manage facility staff, contractors, and vendors. Ability to Lead, inspire, and motivate their teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and build strong relationships.
Ability to identify, analyse, and solve facility-related problems.
Ability to manage budgets, and track expenses.
Ability to plan, execute, and manage infrastructure related projects and renovations.
Understanding of codes, safety regulations, and other relevant standards.
Expertise in handling security incidents, including developing and implementing response plans and coordinating with relevant teams.

Experience as a site enhancement project execution
Experience as a risk management to handle site related government interaction.
Having Knowledge of "Labour Laws" and contingent worker policy would be an added advantage.
