Facade Structural Engineer - Navi Mumbai (UK Projects)

ALUFIX DESIGN INDIA is seeking a highly skilled and detail?oriented Facade Structural Engineer to join our Navi Mumbai design office and support the delivery of prestigious UK facade projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, a deep understanding of facade engineering principles, and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams across international time zones.

With an established track record of providing high-performance external facade solutions to market-leading European and UK contractors, we specialize in turning complex architectural visions into buildable, code-compliant realities.

Our growing Navi Mumbai design hub supports global delivery, bringing deep technical expertise to international building projects -- particularly in the UK market. We are now looking to expand our team with an experienced Facade Structural Engineer with a passion for precision, innovation, and technical leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform detailed engineering computations and structural facade analysis Provide technical assessments and advice on facade systems, fire compliance, and remedial solutions. Prepare, review and sign-off facade calculations, technical reports, specifications, drawings, and documentation at all project stages. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver technically robust solutions. Accountable for all facade documentation including calculations, drawings and specifications Ensure full compliance with UK Building Regulations, fire safety standards (e.g., BS 8414/BR 135), CWCT guidance, and company health & safety procedures at all times. Identify defects, risks, and areas of non-compliance relating to facade performance and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

------------------------

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in facade. Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or similar. Proficiency in relevant facade & structural finite element software e.g. Strand7, Mepla, StaadPro. Solid understanding of curtain wall systems, unitized facades, rainscreen cladding, aluminium and glass systems. Must be experienced in facade system design and reviewing of drawing submissions Experience in producing and reviewing calculations for various facade elements and writing documentation at the different stages of a project Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations, construction detailing, and materials performance. Strong communication skills with excellent written and spoken English.

DESIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of 3D/BIM software such as Revit, Rhino, or other parametric tools.
oFamiliarity with UK Building Regulations, CWCT standards, and facade performance requirements.

Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Strong coordination capability across disciplines and with international project teams. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
