The Opportunity
Arup Facades is an enthusiastic, dedicated and energetic, multi-disciplinary team of facade designers and engineers. We are a leading consultancy in our space both locally and internationally and our team includes engineers, technical specialists, building physicists and architects, all of whom share a passionate interest in cladding design. Our creativity and technical expertise allow us to take on ambitious projects that few companies can deliver.
We have an opportunity for a talented Senior Facade Engineer to join our team, the successful candidate will become a permanent member of our creative, friendly team and will work on a variety of exciting projects, both in the India and Internationally. You will have excellent technical, and software skills and enjoy working collaboratively in multi-professional design teams, supporting projects from inception to completion.
In this role you will be:

• Developing excellent facade solutions and see these through from concept to implementation. It will include scrutinising detailed designs generated by specialist facade contractors. Lead the technical / design input on such projects, ensuring work quality is maintained at expected standard. Undertaking design yourself, you will use your knowledge and experience to support other team members.
• Producing engineering calculations, drawings, reports and correspondence.
• Working directly with our clients, architects, contractors and facade industry suppliers.
• Reviewing technical submissions for compliance with design intent.
• Attending meetings and communicate with clients and design disciplines to establish their needs.

Is this role right for you?
We are looking for candidates with:

• A degree in relevant Engineering or Architectural Studies and be heading for professionally qualification (chartered) and aspiring to registration.
• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant industry experience conducting facade structural engineering calculations having portfolio of medium to large-scale projects.
• Experience in finite element analysis, using software such as Stand7 or similar.
• Experience in supervising the testing of facade systems, the quality of facade construction and conducting facade diagnostics on-site.
• Experience in delivering projects to BIM standards with relevant QA processes.
• Knowledge of Dynamo, Rhino Inside, Grasshopper, Unity and point cloud technology & plugins is beneficial.
